My own green paradise!

Hi!

My name is Rusdi Mustapha and this is my blog dedicated to mother earth our own spaceship! The picture above is my little hideout in Seri Menanti. It is carved out of a small piece of jungle that I inherited from my late father. At night this place is so cool, temperature wise, and what we normally do is to sit in the yard and listen to the sound of the jungle! (left: my hideout early in the morning covered with mist! Top: front view of my green space during rainy season, my little Suzuki can come in handy, and my eucalyptus tree from Australia is shooting up like hell)

It appears our spaceship is in serious need of a cleaning up, and global warming is for real, it will be a matter of time when the temperature in my little green paradise will rise as it is in places like Fraser Hill and Cameron Highlands.

Anyway back to my little piece of green paradise, in the morning the whole area will be blanketed with mist (kabus), and the sound of birds chirping looking for worms can really cure your heartache and other problems.

From time to time I will show more pictures of my jungle at the back of the house(s).

BTW there are two houses attached by a small anjong, or a bridge or walkaway sort of like the Twin Tower bridge adjoining one to another! One of the houses is about 120 years old and the other is 90 years. I bought these houses from relatives who were leaving for overseas to live and so I asked to buy the old house(s) and they said "sure"!

The idea of buying really old houses is to have the entire frame which are made out of old teak hardwood, the frame can last for ever and ever, so I hope you can enjoy this site dedicated to, as I said, the environement!

Cheers!

Dear Encik Rusdi
Your green paradise is like a slice of heaven in the ever expanding concrete jungle in Malaysia. Nurture it with TLC.

You have deliberately not moderated or deleted my comment on this posting... Why ?
You cannot only approve of those nice and flattering comments and I demand an explaination and an apology !

Hi Rusdi,

Your little hideaway is lovely. I certainly understand the need for solitude, surrounded by nature ... it soothes the soul, doesn't it?

My refuge is the mountains of Vermont ... more cows than people ... gently rolling green mountains as far as the eye can see. Vermonters are a hardy people who take no nonsense from anyone!

Hope the family is well and how is the lovely Jennifer? I can still picture that child in my mind's eye.

Take care!

You're living in the best exhibit of quality of life dude. As a Seremban feller I keep forgetting that Negri still has so much to offer. Are there trails around your area where I can get some good hiking done?

Chindiana!

For sure, there is a lot of jungle trails and kampung trails you are most welcome, but then I will know who you are then!

Cheers!

Senanti tu kampong den. Alrwah Atuk den dari soborang masjid lamo dan kampong den kampong tongah. Selalu ko Senanti dulu belajar sekolah ugamo.

Welcome to the "beyond the sidewalk" movement back to the rural areas and the simple way of life! The old kampong life was tough because there was no indoor plumbing, electricity and other modern amenities. With electricity and modern amenities, kampong life is ... heavenly!

Enjoy your new peaceful abode! Make sure you plant some durian and potai.

Hai Rusdi,
I think I am jealous of your lovely home. On the other hand, I am really not a kampung person so can only wish you happiness in your home.

Hei Datin Noraini sudah lah! Balik lah kePathan kalau bukan Melayu, keranan semua Melayu memang suka kampung, suka melepak, duduk kedai kopi, panching ikan, blah blah blah!

Anyway it was nice of you to drop by, we only use the kampung house for weekend, trust me those who have a chance to have a kampung are lucky, for the city is getting congested and polluted! We appreciate it very much when we are there! BTW you are also welcome, even though you are not a kampung person tsk,tsk !
Cheers!
